Role Overview: IB DP Mathematics Teacher
As an IB DP Mathematics Teacher, you will lead engaging, inquiry-driven mathematics instruction that meets the expectations of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. You will guide students through both standard and higher-level mathematical concepts while preparing them for internal and external assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive IB DP Mathematics instruction in line with curriculum guidelines
- Develop assessments that monitor student understanding and progress
- Differentiate lessons to meet individual learning needs
- Support students with Internal Assessments (IAs) and exam preparation
- Integrate technology and real-world applications into math lessons
- Collaborate with peers to enhance interdisciplinary connections
- Maintain communication with students, parents, and staff
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related field
- Teaching license or certification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least two years of teaching experience, preferably in IB or international settings
- Strong understanding of the IB DP curriculum and assessment standards
- Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
- Native or fluent English speaker with outstanding communication skills
- Self-driven and committed to continuous professional development
