Role Overview
The IB DP Mathematics Teacher will deliver engaging and rigorous mathematics instruction aligned with the IB Diploma Programme framework. The teacher will guide students through mathematical concepts, problem-solving strategies, and analytical thinking skills that prepare them for higher education and lifelong success. This role requires a teacher who values inquiry-based learning, collaboration, and student-centered instruction.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach IB DP Mathematics courses with a focus on inquiry and critical thinking
- Design lessons that challenge and engage students at different ability levels
- Prepare students for IB internal and external assessments
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to support academic growth
- Integrate technology to enhance mathematics learning and problem-solving
- Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen the IB curriculum and assessment practices
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to foster a supportive learning community
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in IB DP or international schools
- Strong knowledge of IB Mathematics curriculum and assessment standards
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to professional growth and innovative teaching practices
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
