Role Overview: IB DP Music Teacher
As an IB DP Music Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging music lessons that promote technical skill, creativity, and cultural appreciation. You will guide students through the composition, performance, and analysis components of the IB curriculum and help them prepare for both internal and external assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality music instruction based on the IB Diploma Programme
- Guide students through solo and ensemble performances, composition, and music analysis
- Create assessments that align with IB standards and monitor student progress
- Inspire students to explore global music traditions and contemporary practices
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-disciplinary units and school events

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music or Music Education
- Recognized teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years’ experience teaching music, preferably in IB or international settings
- Strong understanding of the IB DP Music curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Fluent in English with exceptional verbal and written communication
