Role Overview: IB DP Physics Teacher
The IB DP Physics Teacher will deliver rigorous and engaging instruction aligned with IB standards. The role requires fostering critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and interdisciplinary understanding among students.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach IB DP Physics in accordance with the official IB curriculum
- Guide students through Internal Assessments and exam preparation
- Design lab-based experiments that reinforce theoretical concepts
- Monitor student performance through varied assessments
- Integrate educational technology to support hands-on learning
- Collaborate with department colleagues to support cross-subject initiatives
- Communicate regularly with parents and school staff
- Contribute to school life and extracurricular programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics or a related science discipline
- Teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or state credentials)
- Minimum of two years’ experience teaching physics, preferably within IB or international schools
- Familiarity with IB DP assessment practices and inquiry-based learning
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
