Role Overview
The IB DP Physics Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons that encourage inquiry, problem-solving, and critical thinking. The role requires a balance of theoretical instruction and practical laboratory work, preparing students for success in both internal assessments and external IB examinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Physics at the IB Diploma Programme level
- Plan and deliver lessons that promote inquiry and independent learning
- Prepare students for IB DP assessments and examinations
- Incorporate technology and innovative teaching strategies into instruction
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design and interdisciplinary learning
- Support student development through mentoring and academic guidance
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Science Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB or international school
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for Physics
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to continuous professional development and innovative teaching methods
