Magic Years International School (MYIS) is hiring a dedicated and creative IB Early Years Music Teacher to join its vibrant and nurturing learning community. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young learners through music and contribute to a growing International Baccalaureate (IB) World School located just outside Bangkok, Thailand.

About Magic Years International School

Founded as a private, independent international school, Magic Years International School (MYIS) is located in Nonthaburi, a peaceful area just north of Bangkok. MYIS is an IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and is currently a candidate school for the Middle Years Programme (MYP). The school takes pride in its holistic, child-centered approach to education, focusing on the intellectual, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual development of each student.

Role: IB Early Years Music Teacher

The successful candidate will:

• Plan and deliver engaging music lessons tailored to young learners (ages 2–7)
• Implement the IB PYP framework to support inquiry-based music education
• Foster a joyful, inclusive, and creative classroom environment
• Guide students in musical expression through singing, movement, instruments, and performance
• Collaborate with the early years and specialist teaching teams
• Lead school-wide music events and contribute to the cultural life of the school
• Use assessment data to reflect on and improve teaching strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field
• Valid teaching license or equivalent certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in early childhood or IB schools
• Strong knowledge of the IB curriculum and early years pedagogy
• Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Passion for music education and nurturing young learners
• Proactive and collaborative mindset
