IB Leadership Associate, Beaconhouse School, Oman Senior Leadership Team

This school is based in Al Khuwair South, Omaon and is looking for an IB Leadership Associate.

Position Overview:
Beaconhouse School in Oman is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic IB Leadership Associate to support the delivery and development of the International Baccalaureate (IB) programs. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about IB education and eager to contribute to academic excellence. The IB Leadership Associate will work closely with the IB Coordinator and school leadership to ensure the effective implementation of IB standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Support:

• Assist in the implementation and development of the IB curriculum in alignment with the school’s vision.
• Collaborate with the IB Coordinator to ensure compliance with IB standards and requirements.
• Support teachers in designing and delivering IB-aligned lesson plans and assessments.

Professional Development:

• Participate in IB workshops and training sessions to enhance program knowledge and skills.
• Provide support and mentorship to teachers in understanding and applying IB teaching methodologies.
• Share best practices and innovative strategies to improve IB program delivery.

Student Engagement:

• Promote the IB Learner Profile among students to foster critical thinking, inquiry, and global awareness.
• Assist in organizing events and activities that enrich the IB learning experience.
• Provide guidance and support to students in completing IB projects and assessments.

Administrative Support:

• Maintain accurate records of IB program documentation and ensure timely submission of required reports.
• Assist in preparing for IB accreditation and evaluation visits.
• Liaise with parents and other stakeholders to provide updates on IB program developments.

Qualifications and Experience:

Educational Background:

• Preferably IB Category 1 trained.
• A degree in education or a relevant field is desirable.

Professional Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in an IB or international school setting.
• Familiarity with IB principles, frameworks, and teaching strategies.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using educational technology tools.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Willingness to travel as required.
