Role Overview
The IB MYP/DP Mathematics Teacher will teach Mathematics within the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). This role requires an educator who can design engaging lessons, guide students through challenging concepts, and foster analytical and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will help students grow into confident learners who are prepared for success in higher education and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Mathematics lessons aligned with IB MYP and DP standards
- Create inquiry-based lesson plans that promote critical thinking
- Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback
- Support students in preparing for IB assessments and examinations
- Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen curriculum development
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and school initiatives
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB school
- Strong knowledge of the IB MYP and DP Mathematics curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to innovation, collaboration, and professional development
- Ability to integrate technology to enhance student learning
