Role Overview
The IB MYP/DP Mathematics Teacher will play a key role in helping students develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This role involves teaching Mathematics across the Middle Years Program and Diploma Program, preparing students for advanced academic challenges and future success. The ideal candidate will be innovative, student-focused, and committed to inquiry-based learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics classes within the IB MYP and DP framework
- Design engaging lessons that foster critical thinking and numerical reasoning
- Support students in preparing for IB Diploma Mathematics assessments
- Encourage inquiry-based learning and independent problem-solving
- Incorporate technology to enhance mathematics instruction and student engagement
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and extracurricular activities
- Provide constructive feedback that supports student growth
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least three years of teaching experience, preferably with IB or international curricula
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and a passion for inquiry-based teaching
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and innovation
- Ability to thrive in a multicultural, collaborative environment
