Role Overview
The IB MYP English Teacher will lead engaging, inquiry-based language and literature classes designed to help students develop strong analytical and communication skills. You will guide students through a comprehensive curriculum that encourages creativity, reflection, and a deep understanding of global perspectives in literature and language.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lessons aligned with the IB MYP English curriculum
- Foster an inclusive classroom where diverse student voices are valued
- Design assessments that support student growth and understanding
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary units and school initiatives
- Maintain consistent communication with students, parents, and the wider school community
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum two years of relevant teaching experience
- Solid understanding of the IB MYP framework and inquiry-based learning
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Strong commitment to continuous professional development
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Self-motivated, innovative, and collaborative
