Role Overview: IB MYP English Teacher
As an IB MYP English Teacher, you will plan and deliver dynamic language and literature lessons in alignment with the MYP framework. You will help students build strong literacy skills, develop critical thinking, and express themselves confidently in written and spoken English.
Key Responsibilities
- Design engaging, inquiry-driven English lessons based on the MYP framework
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and abilities
- Implement formative and summative assessments to track progress
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages student voice
- Integrate digital tools to enhance student learning and communication
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular units
- Contribute actively to school events, clubs, and professional development initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching credential (e.g., QTS, PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience, ideally in an IB or international school
- Solid understanding of IB MYP curriculum and assessment strategies
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Motivated, reflective, and committed to continuous professional growth
