Role Overview
The IB MYP English Teacher will play a vital role in developing students’ literacy, communication, and analytical skills. This position involves teaching across the middle school years, guiding students in their exploration of English language and literature, and preparing them for academic and personal success. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, innovation, and a strong commitment to student growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the IB Middle Years Program (MYP) framework
- Guide students in developing critical thinking, reading, and writing skills
- Foster inquiry-based learning and encourage independent thought
- Integrate technology to enhance learning outcomes
- Provide constructive feedback to support student progress
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and extracurricular activities
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and the school community
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least three years of teaching experience, preferably with IB or international curricula
- Strong knowledge of English language and literature
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
- Commitment to professional growth and collaboration in a multicultural environment
