Role Overview

The IB MYP English Teacher will deliver engaging and student-centered English Language and Literature instruction that aligns with IB standards. This role involves guiding students through inquiry-based learning, strengthening their reading, writing, and communication skills, and fostering a love for literature. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary projects, integrate technology into learning, and support student growth through mentorship and extracurricular involvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach English courses within the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) framework
• Design lessons that encourage inquiry, critical thinking, and creativity
• Provide timely assessments and constructive feedback to students
• Collaborate with faculty on curriculum design and cross-disciplinary learning
• Support school events, clubs, and extracurricular activities that enrich the student experience
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience, ideally in an international or IB setting
• Strong understanding of IB MYP curriculum and assessment practices
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Commitment to professional growth and innovative teaching practices
