Role Overview
The IB MYP Humanities Teacher will play a vital role in supporting students’ academic and personal growth. This position involves teaching middle school Humanities, helping students develop their understanding of history, geography, society, and culture through an inquiry-based approach. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, innovative, and committed to fostering global awareness and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Humanities in alignment with the IB Middle Years Program (MYP) framework
- Design engaging, inquiry-based lessons that encourage student curiosity and independence
- Foster critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Incorporate technology to support interactive and collaborative learning
- Provide meaningful feedback to guide student progress
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design and extracurricular activities
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and the school community
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Humanities, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably with the IB MYP or international curricula
- Strong knowledge of Humanities subjects and inquiry-based learning methods
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and collaboration in a multicultural setting
