Role Overview: IB MYP Mathematics Teacher
The IB MYP Mathematics Teacher will deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the MYP framework. This role requires a deep understanding of math content, strong instructional skills, and a commitment to supporting student learning across diverse cultural backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver mathematics lessons based on IB MYP standards
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
- Use assessment data to inform teaching and track student progress
- Encourage problem-solving, collaboration, and mathematical reasoning
- Integrate technology to enhance math instruction
- Engage in professional learning and contribute to school-wide initiatives
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience, ideally in an IB or international setting
- Familiarity with the IB MYP curriculum and assessment strategies
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
