Role Overview
The IB MYP Mathematics Teacher will design and deliver lessons aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme. You will guide students in developing critical-thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills through real-world applications of mathematics. Collaboration with faculty, involvement in school activities, and active participation in curriculum development will form essential parts of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach mathematics to students in the MYP according to IB standards
- Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment
- Implement formative and summative assessments effectively
- Collaborate with the MYP team to ensure interdisciplinary connections
- Contribute to school life through extracurricular engagement and advisory roles
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or equivalent certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
- At least two years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB or international school
- Strong understanding of the IB MYP framework
- Excellent classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
- Passion for teaching in a multicultural and multilingual environment
- Fluent in English, with a commitment to ongoing professional growth
- Innovative, reflective, and enthusiastic about student success
