Role Overview: IB MYP Mathematics Teacher

The IB MYP Mathematics Teacher will plan and deliver engaging math instruction in accordance with the IB MYP framework. The ideal candidate will create a classroom culture that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and confidence in mathematical reasoning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver concept-driven, inquiry-based math lessons aligned with IB MYP objectives
• Design formative and summative assessments that reflect IB standards
• Differentiate instruction to support a variety of learning styles and academic needs
• Integrate technology to enhance student engagement and mathematical understanding
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary learning experiences
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with students, parents, and the school team
• Support student well-being by contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Participate in school initiatives, extracurricular programs, and professional learning communities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching license or equivalent certification (QTS, PGCE, etc.)
• At least two years of recent experience teaching math, preferably in an IB MYP or international school setting
• In-depth understanding of the IB MYP mathematics curriculum and philosophy
• Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written English communication
• Growth-oriented mindset with a commitment to ongoing professional development
• Enthusiasm for teaching in a multicultural, bilingual academic environment
