Role Overview
The IB MYP Mathematics Teacher will guide middle school students in developing analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills within the framework of the IB MYP curriculum. The role requires a strong foundation in mathematics, creativity in lesson planning, and the ability to inspire a love of learning in students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework
- Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Encourage inquiry, collaboration, and critical thinking in mathematics learning
- Integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning outcomes
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure curriculum alignment across grade levels
- Contribute to extracurricular programs and whole-school initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of teaching experience, ideally within an IB MYP or similar international curriculum
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a multicultural and international school environment
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching
