Role Overview
The IB MYP Music Teacher will guide students through an engaging exploration of music, helping them build essential skills in performance, composition, and appreciation. This role requires creativity, enthusiasm, and a dedication to fostering a lifelong love of music within a multicultural classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach engaging music lessons aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) framework
- Inspire creativity and self-expression through performance, theory, and composition
- Support students in developing technical and collaborative skills
- Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture
- Collaborate with colleagues across the arts and wider school community
- Contribute to concerts, performances, and school-wide cultural events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting
- Familiarity with IB MYP or similar international curricula
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Enthusiasm for working in a multicultural environment
- Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
