Role Overview
The IB MYP PE Teacher will play a central role in helping students develop physical skills, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits. This role involves teaching physical education across the Middle Years Program, designing engaging activities that build resilience, leadership, and sportsmanship. The ideal candidate will be innovative, student-focused, and committed to holistic education.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging PE lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework
- Encourage physical fitness, teamwork, and positive attitudes toward sports
- Design units that develop motor skills, coordination, and lifelong healthy habits
- Incorporate technology and modern teaching strategies into PE instruction
- Foster resilience, leadership, and sportsmanship through sports and activities
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and extracurricular programs
- Provide feedback that supports student progress and motivation
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and the wider school community
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in an international setting
- Strong knowledge of physical education and sports development
- Excellent classroom and behavior management skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and innovation
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural school environment
