Role Overview: IB MYP Physical Education Teacher
As an IB MYP Physical Education Teacher, you will design and implement engaging physical education lessons that foster fitness, teamwork, and leadership. Your role will support students in developing lifelong wellness habits while meeting the objectives of the IB MYP curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver PE lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework
- Promote health, fitness, and personal well-being through diverse activities
- Assess student performance using formative and summative strategies
- Encourage positive sportsmanship, teamwork, and self-discipline
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and energetic classroom and sports environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate wellness across the school community
- Participate in school-wide events, extracurricular activities, and athletic programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in an IB or international school setting
- Strong knowledge of physical education pedagogy and IB MYP practices
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Passion for health education and student development
- Ability to use technology to enhance instruction and assessment
