Established in 2005, CISB operates through a partnership between the Canadian and Chinese governments. The school delivers a well-rounded education through a blend of the Canadian (New Brunswick) curriculum and the International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes, including the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP).

Role Overview: IB MYP Science Teacher
As an IB MYP Science Teacher, you will develop and deliver inquiry-based science lessons that align with the IB MYP curriculum. You will support students in building scientific knowledge, critical thinking skills, and a deep curiosity about the natural world.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging science lessons based on IB MYP standards
- Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress
- Promote hands-on learning, lab work, and interdisciplinary connections
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and inquiry-driven classroom environment
- Integrate educational technology to support student learning
- Collaborate with fellow teachers on curriculum design and school initiatives
- Participate in professional development and school community events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or equivalent international certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS)
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB setting
- Strong understanding of the IB MYP framework and inquiry-based instruction
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Demonstrated ability to connect with students and build a supportive learning culture
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and educational innovation
