Role Overview
As an IB MYP Science Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging lessons across multiple science disciplines, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. You will guide students in exploring scientific concepts, conducting experiments, and making real-world connections. Beyond teaching, you will play an active role in curriculum development, interdisciplinary projects, and community initiatives that enrich student learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Science within the IB MYP framework, ensuring alignment with program standards
- Develop inquiry-based lessons that encourage collaboration and independent learning
- Design and implement assessments to monitor student progress and provide feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and school-wide initiatives
- Integrate digital tools and innovative approaches to enhance student engagement
- Support student wellbeing and personal growth in line with the school’s mission
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably within the IB MYP framework
- Strong subject knowledge across science disciplines
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English
