Role Overview

The IB PYP Homeroom Teacher will play a central role in guiding students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. The position involves designing engaging, inquiry-based lessons, promoting independent learning, and helping students develop critical thinking and communication skills that support lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework
• Support the holistic development of students through differentiated teaching strategies
• Foster creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking in the classroom
• Use technology effectively to enhance learning outcomes
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school initiatives
• Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community
• Provide constructive feedback to support student growth and achievement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in primary education
• Familiarity with international curricula, preferably the IB PYP
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• High proficiency in spoken and written English
• Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural school environment
