Position Overview: IB PYP Homeroom Teacher
The successful candidate will lead a Primary Years Programme (PYP) classroom and foster a learning environment that supports inquiry-based teaching and international-mindedness. The IB PYP Homeroom Teacher will guide students through key developmental stages while embedding essential life skills and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction aligned with the IB PYP framework
- Develop unit plans, lesson plans, and assessments that encourage inquiry and reflection
- Collaborate with other teachers to implement interdisciplinary learning
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents
- Support the social, emotional, and academic growth of students
- Integrate technology effectively to enhance student learning experiences
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably within an IB PYP environment
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and child development
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic about working in a multicultural setting
- Confident in using educational technology tools
