Role Overview: IB PYP Kindergarten Teacher
We are seeking a caring and qualified Kindergarten Teacher with experience in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP). The ideal candidate understands how to create engaging, student-centered learning experiences that support inquiry, language development, and social-emotional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework
- Foster inquiry, creativity, and play-based learning in a bilingual environment
- Collaborate with fellow educators to create interdisciplinary units of inquiry
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to families
- Support the development of foundational literacy, numeracy, and social skills
- Engage actively in school events, parent communication, and professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years’ experience in early years or kindergarten settings
- Familiarity with international and inquiry-based curricula (IB PYP preferred)
- Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ability to integrate technology to enhance learning
- Self-driven, collaborative, and culturally sensitive
