Role Overview: IB PYP Mathematics Teacher
The IB PYP Mathematics Teacher will develop and deliver engaging, inquiry-based math instruction for primary school students. You will help students build a strong foundation in numeracy, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning through real-world applications and collaborative learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver interactive math lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework
- Differentiate instruction to support varied learning needs and styles
- Use assessment tools to monitor progress and guide instructional decisions
- Foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a growth mindset in the classroom
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary units and shared planning
- Communicate clearly with students, parents, and team members
- Participate actively in school initiatives and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years of experience teaching mathematics at the primary level
- Experience with IB PYP or international curricula strongly preferred
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills
- Passion for international education and student-centered teaching
