Role: IB PYP Mathematics Teacher
As an IB PYP Mathematics Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging math lessons aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme. Your goal will be to develop conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and real-world application of mathematical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement inquiry-based math lessons for primary students
- Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction
- Support individual student progress through differentiated learning strategies
- Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and share best practices
- Integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Communicate regularly with families to support student development
- Participate in school-wide initiatives, events, and professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching credential (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching mathematics at the primary level
- Solid understanding of the IB PYP curriculum and inquiry-based instruction
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- A collaborative, innovative, and student-focused mindset
