Position Overview: IB PYP Science Teacher
The Science Teacher will design and deliver hands-on, inquiry-driven science lessons that cultivate curiosity, critical thinking, and collaboration. You will help young learners connect scientific concepts to the real world while nurturing a lifelong interest in discovery and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement engaging science lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework
- Facilitate student inquiry and support conceptual understanding
- Integrate transdisciplinary themes and promote STEM-based learning
- Collaborate with colleagues on unit planning and school initiatives
- Assess and report on student learning using diverse strategies
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching credential (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of primary teaching experience, preferably in international or IB settings
- Expertise in inquiry-based science education
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Enthusiastic, reflective, and collaborative
