Role: IB PYP Science Teacher
As an IB PYP Science Teacher, you will lead the planning and delivery of engaging science units that align with the IB Primary Years Programme framework. Your lessons will foster student-led inquiry, promote hands-on learning, and connect scientific concepts to the real world.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, inquiry-based science instruction for primary-aged students
- Design learning experiences that encourage critical thinking and exploration
- Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum across grade levels
- Use a variety of formative and summative assessments to inform instruction
- Maintain open communication with parents and provide regular progress updates
- Integrate digital tools to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
- Contribute to school-wide events, professional development, and community initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching primary-level science
- Knowledge of the IB PYP framework and inquiry-based learning approaches
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural environment
- Initiative to contribute to curriculum enrichment and wider school development
