Role Overview: IBDP / AP Math Teacher
As a high school Math Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging lessons that challenge students and foster deep conceptual understanding. You will teach courses within the IB DP and AP Math curricula, preparing students for academic success and university-level study.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach a range of high school math courses, including IB DP Math and AP Calculus/Statistics
- Develop curriculum plans aligned with international standards
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support cross-disciplinary learning
- Maintain high expectations for student achievement and behavior
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians
- Contribute to school life through advisory roles, clubs, or other extracurricular activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related field
- Valid teaching license or international equivalent (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role
- Experience with IB DP and/or AP curriculum preferred
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Strong command of spoken and written English
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Familiarity with educational technology to enhance learning
