About the Role: IBDP Economics Teacher
As the IBDP Economics Teacher, you will lead engaging, concept-driven lessons aligned with IB standards. You will help students develop a deep understanding of economic theory, real-world applications, and ethical decision-making. In addition to teaching IBDP Economics, you may contribute to the middle or high school curriculum as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach IBDP Economics to Years 12 and 13
- Create dynamic lesson plans and assessments that meet IB objectives
- Promote critical thinking, inquiry, and independent learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects
- Support students in their Extended Essays and internal assessments
- Communicate regularly with parents and the academic team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics or a related subject
- Valid teaching license (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching IB or equivalent international curriculum
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Enthusiastic about values-based and holistic education
- Familiarity with integrating technology into teaching practices
