Role Overview: IBDP Mathematics Teacher
As an IBDP Math Teacher, you will lead upper secondary students through the DP Mathematics curriculum, helping them explore abstract concepts, develop problem-solving skills, and apply logic in real-world contexts. You will also mentor students in internal assessments and provide university preparation support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IB DP Mathematics framework
- Foster critical thinking and mathematical reasoning in students
- Guide students through their Internal Assessment and exam preparation
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs
- Assess student progress through various formative and summative strategies
- Collaborate with faculty on curriculum planning and interdisciplinary units
- Participate in school events, professional development, and department meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, B.Ed.)
- Minimum 3 years of experience teaching secondary math, preferably in an IB environment
- Solid knowledge of IB DP Mathematics curriculum and assessment standards
- Strong classroom management, planning, and communication skills
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning
- Motivation to contribute to school-wide initiatives and continuous improvement
