Role Overview
As an IBDP Mathematics Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging math lessons that align with IB standards. You will guide students through a range of topics including algebra, calculus, statistics, and applied mathematics. Beyond teaching, you will contribute to the school’s mission by mentoring students, supporting extracurricular activities, and engaging in community-based initiatives that reflect UWC ISAK’s values.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach IBDP Mathematics courses with a focus on inquiry and application
- Support students in developing critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Assess and track student performance with clear, constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design and interdisciplinary projects
- Contribute to leadership and residential life programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, preferably within the IB framework
- Strong subject knowledge in higher-level mathematics
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to professional growth and international education
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
