Role Overview: IBMYP English Teacher

As the IBMYP English Teacher, you will design and implement literature-rich, inquiry-based English lessons aligned with IB standards. You will foster students’ analytical thinking, creative expression, and language development while encouraging independent learning and global awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English instruction aligned with IBMYP objectives
• Develop units of inquiry and assessments that challenge and inspire
• Support students in developing writing, reading, speaking, and listening skills
• Foster classroom discussions that promote critical and reflective thinking
• Collaborate with team members on interdisciplinary teaching projects
• Maintain strong communication with families regarding student progress
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and school-wide initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
• At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience, ideally within an IB or international school setting
• Deep understanding of IBMYP philosophy and curriculum standards
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Proficiency in English (native or near-native fluency)
• Tech-savvy and able to integrate digital learning tools
• Energetic, self-driven, and committed to student-centered education
