Role Overview: IB PYP English Teacher
The IB PYP English Teacher will guide young learners in the development of strong literacy and communication skills. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to implement the PYP framework, deliver engaging English language instruction, and help students build the foundations for lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver dynamic English lessons aligned with the IB PYP
- Promote inquiry-based learning in a supportive classroom environment
- Assess student learning and provide regular feedback
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians
- Collaborate with the PYP teaching team on curriculum planning and interdisciplinary units
- Participate in professional development and school-wide events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of experience teaching in a primary or international setting
- Familiarity with the IB PYP curriculum strongly preferred
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and committed to holistic student development
- Tech-savvy and confident in using digital tools to enhance learning
