Role Overview: IB PYP Math Teacher
The Math Teacher will deliver inquiry-based mathematics instruction that encourages conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving. You will support young learners as they explore numeracy in a transdisciplinary context and develop confidence in mathematical reasoning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach engaging math lessons in alignment with IB PYP
- Foster a positive classroom climate that encourages inquiry and exploration
- Assess student progress using formative and summative strategies
- Collaborate with colleagues on unit planning and interdisciplinary projects
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff
- Contribute to school events, extracurricular programs, and ongoing development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in primary or international settings
- Familiarity with the IB PYP framework preferred
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Passionate about student-centered learning and innovation in education
