Role Overview: ICT Teacher
The ICT Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons in computer science and information technology for primary and/or secondary levels. The teacher will integrate digital tools into the curriculum and foster student understanding of computing concepts, coding, software applications, and responsible digital citizenship.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach ICT based on Cambridge and Malaysian curricula
- Develop lesson plans that promote critical thinking and digital literacy
- Monitor and assess student progress using effective evaluation tools
- Incorporate technology into lessons to support diverse learning styles
- Collaborate with faculty to design interdisciplinary projects
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and colleagues
- Participate in professional development and school events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with international education systems
- Strong classroom management and tech integration skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Self-driven, proactive, and committed to educational innovation
