Role Overview: Secondary ICT Teacher

As a Secondary ICT Teacher, you will teach students the foundations of computer science, digital literacy, and programming. You will use the Cambridge curriculum as a framework to design creative, technology-rich lessons that build confidence and computational thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver ICT lessons for Key Stage 3 and IGCSE-level students
• Integrate modern educational technology to enhance learning outcomes
• Foster a classroom culture that encourages innovation, collaboration, and critical thinking
• Guide students in project-based learning, digital presentations, and coding tasks
• Participate in school events, clubs, and co-curricular ICT initiatives
• Work closely with colleagues to support cross-disciplinary teaching and learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field
• Valid teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years of classroom experience in a similar role
• Strong familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum and assessments
• Competence in programming languages such as Python, Java, or HTML/CSS
• Proficient in English (spoken and written)
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
• Passion for integrating technology into education in a multicultural setting
