This school is based in Brummana, Lebanon and is looking for a Full-time Primary Teacher of ICT. 

Overview:

Brummana High School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time Teacher of ICT to join our Primary Section and Upper School for the 2024/25 academic year. The successful candidate will report to the Head of the ICT Department and will be responsible for delivering high-quality ICT education, fostering a love for technology, and supporting the holistic development of students.

Responsibilities:
Academic:
  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective ICT lessons to students in both the Primary Section and Upper School.
  2. Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments in accordance with established procedures.
  3. Instruct and monitor students’ use of technology and learning materials.
  4. Assess and evaluate students’ performance, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  5. Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
  6. Utilize technology effectively for instructional purposes and record-keeping.
  7. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the holistic development of each student.

 

Community Engagement and Extra-Curricular Activities:
  1. Participate in department, school, and parent meetings to foster strong communication and collaborative relationships.
  2. Engage with parents to build strong rapport and provide support for students’ learning and development.
  3. Actively contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme, including clubs, sports, and other student organizations.
  4. Promote the school through regular, positive communication with the school community, including phone calls, meetings, and high-quality school events.

 

Professional Development:
  1. Maintain professional competence through participation in in-service training and professional development activities.
  2. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support each other’s professional growth.

 

Administrative:
  1. Submit required reports, including lesson plans, assessments, and progress reports, in a timely manner.
  2. Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures.

 

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Teaching diploma or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching Computer Science or ICT in a school setting.
  • Commitment to a child-centred education approach.
  • Willingness to contribute to the extra-curricular programme.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
