This school is based in Mansourieh El Metn, Lebanon and is looking for an ICT Teacher. 

Eastwood International School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated ICT Teacher to join our faculty for the 2024/25 academic year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive ICT education to students across various grade levels, fostering their digital literacy, computational thinking, and technology skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Curriculum Development:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging ICT lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that covers essential ICT skills, including coding, digital citizenship, and the use of technology for problem-solving.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.

 

Student Assessment and Support:
  • Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their ICT skills and knowledge.
  • Identify students needing additional assistance and provide targeted support or referrals as necessary.

 

Classroom Management:
  • Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and productive learning atmosphere.
  • Address student behavior issues in accordance with school policies and guidelines.

 

Professional Development:
  • Participate in the school’s professional development program to stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in ICT education.
  • Integrate new technologies and methodologies into the classroom to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and improve instructional practices.

 

Parental and Community Engagement:
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and classroom activities.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences, school events, and extracurricular activities.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success and build a cohesive school community.

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching diploma or certification.
  • Proven experience in teaching ICT at the elementary or secondary level.
  • Strong understanding of educational principles and child development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is an asset.
