Elementary Computer Teacher, Ekamai International School, Thailand

This school is based in Bangkok, Thailand and is looking for an Elementary Computer Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver age-appropriate computer science and digital literacy curriculum for elementary students.
• Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning experiences across various subjects.
• Teach fundamental computer skills such as typing, internet navigation, and basic software applications.
• Introduce elementary students to coding concepts through interactive activities and games.
• Foster creativity and problem-solving skills through hands-on projects and collaborative activities.
• Provide guidance and support to students as they explore digital tools and resources.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback on assignments and projects.
• Stay updated on advancements in educational technology and incorporate relevant tools and techniques into teaching practices.
• Promote digital citizenship and responsible use of technology among students.
• Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of computer science education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience working with elementary-age children in an educational or recreational setting.
• Strong understanding of computer science concepts and digital literacy skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Passion for technology and a commitment to inspiring young learners in the field of computer science.
• Seventh-day Adventist church member in good standing.
