Role Overview
The IGCSE/A-Level Mathematics Teacher will deliver engaging lessons that strengthen students’ problem-solving, logical reasoning, and analytical skills. You will guide learners through Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics content, preparing them for rigorous assessments while fostering a genuine love for mathematics. Collaboration with colleagues, integration of technology, and support for extracurricular initiatives will be central to your role.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics at IGCSE and A-Level within the Cambridge curriculum
- Plan and deliver interactive, student-centered lessons
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations
- Encourage mathematical inquiry, logical reasoning, and application of knowledge
- Integrate technology to enhance learning experiences
- Contribute to extracurricular clubs, competitions, and school initiatives
- Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen cross-curricular learning opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience, ideally in an international school
- Strong subject knowledge in IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to professional growth and innovative teaching practices
- High level of proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
