Role Overview: IGCSE Art Teacher
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging Art & Design lessons aligned with the IGCSE curriculum. You will nurture students’ artistic talents, support their portfolio development, and encourage creative exploration through various media and techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured Art lessons that meet Cambridge IGCSE standards
- Guide students through the creative process from concept to final execution
- Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on student work
- Organize exhibitions, workshops, and co-curricular art activities
- Use technology to enhance visual learning experiences
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related discipline
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Experience teaching IGCSE Art & Design
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to foster student creativity in a multicultural setting
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Self-motivated, organized, and committed to continuous improvement
