IGCSE Business Studies Teacher – Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur

About Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur
WMSKL, formerly known as Kolej Methodist Sentul Campus, operates under the Methodist Council of Education, Methodist Church in Malaysia. Established in 1976 through the efforts of the Presidential Task Force, our school evolved from a second-chance institution into one that provides academically rigorous, values-based education.
WMSKL offers a dual-curriculum model. Students follow either the Malaysian national KSSM syllabus or the internationally recognized Cambridge International curriculum, which includes IGCSE and A-Level pathways. We maintain strong academic affiliations with Methodist College Kuala Lumpur (MCKL).
Role: IGCSE Business Studies Teacher
The successful candidate will teach Business Studies to secondary students based on the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus. You will help students understand key business concepts, such as marketing, operations, finance, and management, while encouraging analytical and entrepreneurial thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and structured Business Studies lessons aligned with IGCSE standards
- Prepare students for IGCSE assessments and coursework
- Promote a deep understanding of global business practices and ethics
- Use a range of teaching strategies and technologies to support diverse learners
- Participate in curriculum development and extracurricular activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
- Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Proven experience teaching Business Studies at the secondary level
- Familiarity with the Cambridge IGCSE Business Studies curriculum
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and planning skills
- A student-centered, collaborative teaching approach
- High proficiency in English
