Role Overview
We are currently hiring a skilled Secondary Chemistry Teacher with experience in the IGCSE Chemistry curriculum. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, inspire student inquiry, and foster a love for science. You will be expected to design hands-on lab activities, track student progress, and contribute to the wider school community through enrichment programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Chemistry to secondary students using the Cambridge IGCSE framework
- Plan and deliver engaging, concept-driven science lessons
- Design experiments that develop analytical and practical science skills
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback
- Participate in school-wide initiatives, science fairs, and co-curricular activities
- Collaborate with the science department to ensure consistent curriculum delivery
- Support students in preparing for internal assessments and IGCSE examinations
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Education, or a related field
- Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years’ teaching experience, preferably in an international or Cambridge school
- Expertise in the IGCSE Chemistry syllabus and teaching methodologies
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent spoken and written English proficiency
- Passion for science education and innovation in teaching
- Self-driven, collaborative, and committed to continuous professional development
