Role Overview
The IGCSE Economics Teacher will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons based on the Cambridge IGCSE framework. The role focuses on developing students’ understanding of economic principles, global financial systems, and critical thinking skills. Teachers are expected to prepare students for IGCSE examinations while encouraging independent inquiry and practical application of knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Economics at the IGCSE level, ensuring lessons are challenging and inspiring
- Prepare students for internal assessments and IGCSE examinations
- Foster analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Plan and deliver lessons that engage students of varying abilities
- Integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably with IGCSE or international curricula
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of proficiency in written and spoken English
