Role Overview: IGCSE English Teacher
We are looking for a qualified IGCSE English Teacher who can deliver high-quality English instruction at the secondary level. The successful candidate will have the ability to plan and teach engaging lessons that develop reading, writing, and analytical skills aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE English curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver dynamic English lessons that inspire a love for literature and language
- Prepare students for IGCSE English Language and Literature examinations
- Assess and track student progress to ensure academic achievement
- Use differentiated instruction to meet varied learning needs
- Participate in curriculum planning and development
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-departmental initiatives
- Engage with school events, clubs, and extracurricular activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least two years of experience teaching English at secondary level
- Strong familiarity with the Cambridge IGCSE or other international curricula
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- A proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative teaching style
