This school is based in Manama, Bahrain and is looking for an IGCSE English Teacher.

Position Overview:
Multinational School Bahrain is seeking a dedicated and experienced IGCSE English Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in line with the Cambridge/British Curriculum, fostering a love for English language and literature, and supporting student development in a positive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach IGCSE English in alignment with the Cambridge/British Curriculum.
• Design engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
• Maintain meticulous records of student progress, assessments, and interventions.
• Promote curriculum continuity across different educational phases.
• Foster a classroom environment conducive to active learning and critical thinking.
• Collaborate with colleagues to implement educational projects and share best practices.
• Uphold and support the school’s ethos and safeguarding policies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Knowledge:

• Comprehensive understanding of the Cambridge/British Curriculum.
• Familiarity with effective classroom management strategies.
• Knowledge of the significance of maintaining a strong school ethos.

Skills and Abilities:

• Commitment to curriculum continuity and regular updates to planning.
• Strong record-keeping skills for assessments and interventions.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in IGCSE English.
• Proven success in previous teaching roles or effective teaching placements.
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
• Evidence of being a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field.
• Attested/Apostilled teaching qualifications from the country of origin.
• Active engagement in continuing professional development (CPD) activities.

Special Requirements:

• Adherence to and support of the school’s Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy.
• Clear Criminal Record Disclosure prior to appointment.
