Role Overview: IGCSE/IB English Teacher
As an IGCSE/IB English Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons aligned with Cambridge and IB standards. You will guide students in developing critical thinking, strong communication, and analytical writing skills, while fostering a love for literature and language.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver student-centered English lessons for IGCSE and IB Diploma levels
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs
- Use assessments to track progress and inform instruction
- Support students in developing research, presentation, and writing skills
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and interdisciplinary units
- Engage with parents and participate in school-wide initiatives and events
- Promote academic integrity and inquiry-driven learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in IGCSE and/or IB English
- Familiarity with international curricula (IB, Cambridge)
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Commitment to continuous professional growth
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Enthusiasm for working with a multicultural student body
